... for achieving her Skillsfirst Level 3 Diploma in Management (RQF) as part of her Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Management in the Business Skills Sector.
The Skillsfirst Level 3 Diploma in Management is a nationally recognised qualification and aims to develop management performance within an individual’s working environment. The qualification focusses on the principles of business, leadership, team and people management and supports the management of the individuals personal and professional development.
With continued support from the business and her Line Manager, Tracy has been studying, alongside her full time position for the last 15 months in order to gain the industry recognised qualification.
Tracy explains ‘The course has really helped me across a multitude of skills; people management, self-awareness and emotional intelligence. The content of the course focussed on collaborative working between departments and helped me improve communications with both external teams and with our customers. I feel that I have a clearer understanding of the operational side of the business.’
So what is next for Tracy? She is eager to progress her learning journey and has just signed up to Level 5 Operational and Departmental Management with Chesterfield College, the course will take approximately 18 -24 months to complete and involve compiling a portfolio of assignments, a 1 hour exam, 45 minutes professional interview, 30 minute presentation and a professional discussion.
Tracy is committed to her personal development and when asked if she had any advice for anyone else who is about to embark on a learning and development training programme she explains…
‘It is extremely hard to dedicate time to working full time and studying, however I was so determined to do the course and progress with my career at AVK UK that this was never a chore to do. To have a supportive company and a desire to better myself has definitely helped. I was lucky to be given the opportunity to take up this type of training and gain the qualification, therefore I would suggest that anyone given the opportunity by their employer, seize the opportunity and give it 100% as they do not come up that often’.
Very well done Tracy!!
