Stephen Willis Long Service Award
Congratulations to Stephen Willis who is celebrating 10 years of service working for AVK Syddal Ltd. 03-05-2022
Stephen originally joined the business in 1993, before it was part of the AVK Group, as a labourer and van driver, before training as a welder where he progressed to working exclusively on stainless steel repair clamps.
He said:
“I’ve seen a lot of changes over the years, investment in departments and improvements made to the factory.
The last ten years have gone very quickly, and my role hasn’t really changed, but there’s always challenges that keep me busy – you never stop learning.”
To mark his 10-year anniversary, Stephen received an award and certificate from his supervisor David Raynes, pictured here with his colleagues at AVK Syddal’s manufacturing premises in Hyde near Manchester UK.
AVK Syddal provides the water, gas, and wastewater utility sectors with a complete range of pipe work fittings from bespoke fabrications to simple repair clamps. At AVK Syddal there is a team of skilled personnel from CAD designers to welder/platers, dedicated to providing quality products to customers requirements.
Chris Carr, Operations Manager at AVK Syddal Ltd, who joined the business in July last year, said:
“Stephen has been a tremendous asset to the business over the years and during my short time here I’ve found his work ethic to be exemplary.
“He’s really helped me to settle in with his knowledge and experience, and I look forward to continuing to work with Stephen in the future.”
