VIDI Open/Close is a battery-operated device that detects the valve open/close position and transmits data wirelessly.
VIDI Open/Close is a smart device for indicating the open or closed position of several valve types. It transmits the data wirelessly.
The device can be installed in a variety of applications e.g., on a swing check or butterfly valve. After installation and activation, the device transmits information about the position of the valve to the VIDI Cloud platform or to a third-party software (e.g., SCADA or GIS).
VIDI Open/Close provides water utilities with a versatile solution for monitoring the position of different valves. For example, utilities can use the valuable information to optimise the operation of the water distribution network and extend the lifetime of assets.

** Battery life depends on installation, environmental conditions and user interactions. Installation in areas with poor communication signal, low temperatures, use of iron covers or frequent network reconnections can affect battery life.
