Elevating Customer Service. Stuart Mason, AVK UK's Logistics and Distribution Manager
Stuart Mason has been named the Customer Service Winner at the AVK 2026 Expect Awards 23-03-2026
The ‘Customer Service’ award recognises colleagues who consistently make AVK easier, faster, and more reassuring to do business with.
Stuart Mason has worked for AVK UK for almost twelve years and is now Logistics and Distribution Manager for the business. Stuart won the Customer Service award primarily for his work in developing the warehouse and distribution teams across AVK UK and improvements and training at AVK Hyde site as well as improving the skillset of the wider AVK UK business.
‘I am a great believer in training, in giving people the tools they need to do their job well. This is both good for the individual and good for the business as well. As part of the work I have done with AVK I have developed skills matrices which highlight areas in which training is required. I am also committed to developing greater warehousing and logistics consistency and continuous improvement across the many different sites of the business with further development to come.’

What is most impressive about Stuart’s achievement is that the work at AVK Hyde, for example, is technically not part of his day job. It is a need he and the business has identified and sought to put in place the training and processes to resolve it.
‘Prior to joining AVK UK I spent several years working for Royal Mail and visited many of their mail centres across the country auditing logistics and transport processes. It provided me with a very solid grounding in transport, logistics and warehousing, as well as developing the skills needed to make groups work as cohesive units.’
The AVK Expect Awards 2026, held at Ansty Hall, brought colleagues together from across the United Kingdom to celebrate those who turn AVK’s Expect Promises into action.
Reflecting on the occasion, Stuart said:
‘It was a really good day. I was surprised to be nominated and even more surprised to be a winner. It is both rewarding and humbling to have one’s hard work acknowledged by your colleagues.’
